    Hello,

Anyone from/around Michigan willing to start a meetup with us?

We’re very motivated to start moving on finding community and beginning plans for Kin’s Domain; and more. Of course we’re not set on the “Kin’s Domain” narrative only, so cooperative and dynamic community relationship is highly valued over a strict adherence type of viewpoint.

I am a homeschooling mom with young children largely following Anthroposophical/Waldorf/Steiner philosophy. I have lots of experience and love with and for animal husbandry, biodynamic farming, and gardening. My husband is a machinist/ fabricator and expert at engines. We’re learning and gaining resources to begin building our own home right now. We’re in the beginning stages of overcoming the issue of property taxes to ensure that any land that we begin a Kin’s Domain on is free and clear of any governmental intervention or risk of seizure.

Finding other young families with complimentary skills or motivations would be ideal! But Singles with shared values or hoping to later begin their family might also be a possibility.

Please feel free to reach out whoever you are, if you are interested or nearby!

Greetings from Midland! We also have a homestead and homeschool. I have been trying to get property taxes corrected since 2022 when we recorded our land patent. It is interesting because everything I have been doing over the years since children seem to line up in relation to building a kin domain in steps- gardening to starting my own plants to seed saving to moving to a “farm” to getting animals to planting medicinal herbs – to doing the land patent – etc and then found these books on it all started to make more sense on how things came about in my life. I am excited to find others from Michigan! I do know of one other couple from Alpena area who has read the books as well. Please keep me posted on any plan meet-ups. My husband has not yet read the books, he is very busy but does help quite a bit with everything on our homestead outside of work. I did purchase the books in hope that he can find time to read them. I am now reading them for a second time.

      Wow!
So great to hear from you!
We’ve also done a Land Patent, and that may in the long run be the way to go to get the county off our backs. Currently we are using a private discharge process to put liability back on the municipality. It works!

You have done private discharge for your property taxes? Curious how you have done it, I have tried and they never accept it.

          Ah,

Of course there will never be a public acceptance. It must be walked out in private and in complete Honor. It is not for the faint of heart!

          Cheers!
