I have been dreaming of creating a kin’s domain since I first read the books ten years ago.  And I am so grateful to have joined forces with a wonderful man with whom these dreams can come to full fruition.

A couple of years before I encountered the books, I already was envisioning myself building first, a little cabin in the woods, and then that vision changed to a strawbale house when I learned about them in 2009.

I was obsessed with nutrition for a long time, and have read quite a bit about permaculture, and have applied a bit here and there in small gardens.  I’ve practiced and taught reiki, and have volunteered at earthship and earthbag house builds, where I built and learned some, but mostly cooked for all the people.

I traveled a lot throughout my 20s within the US and a bit in Canada, searching and learning, meeting people, and focusing mostly on my spiritual development.

The last two years, I’ve been internally nudged in a very unexpected direction.  I have been much more focused on building a solid foundation by temporarily setting aside the perfectionist tendency to require myself to only do work that is outside of society, and have been working in office environments that have led me to a wonderful work, where I am not only supporting and supported by a warm hearted family, but also learning skills and touching opportunities to increase my income in a way that is related to homes, so that I will finally be able to save up and build one.  We have lovely dreams beyond that, but this is the first step.

It’s a very special time in my life, and it just makes me so grateful to have been blessed with the strength to overcome the many challenges that came along and gave me the opportunity to remember that very strength is always there in us.

I am mainly here to share in inspiration and reminders of how wonderful we can each make our lives and our nooks and crannies of the world, and how much our ripple effect can be amplified when we’re focusing all the more often, and focusing together.
