hi, i dont really use social media. i am not quite sure how to ask this question. i posted on ‘news feed’. but it doesnt appear anyone replied.

if i wanted to organize a meetup- what does that actually involve? i have never met any other ringing cedars people in real life, and therefore have not attended any kind of events. i have seen some stuff in russia on video. but i dont know what people would be doing here if they had some kind of meetup or get-togther.

has anyone been to one or know what you would do to put something on?

    Hi John,

There aren’t any rules that need to be followed, it really just depends what you’re seeking. I’ve seen some folks host reading groups where they read a certain book or section of book in a certain amount of time and then gather together in person or online to discuss the reading. I’ve also seen camp outs, potlucks, and meet ups at parks. As far as spreading the word, you can use this site, the RC Telegram group, the RC Facebook group, and/or contact @GabrielMiguel and he may be able to get it in the newsletter. It could also be beneficial to reach out to people in your area through the various platforms to gauge interest and maybe find someone to help organize a meetup.

    Hope this helps.

thanks for your reply. i myself dont really have time for a recurring meeting like a book club. i just wanted to see if people might want to meet up and kind of get a sense of who else is around this area that shares similar interests. i feel like online interactions are convenient, but also very easy to dismiss or not take seriously, which is why i thought something in person might be useful.
