    Hello fellow readers,

I’m currently part way through book two. I’ve only recently discovered the books and I’m so eager to discuss them with people. I’d love to discuss with people in person but I also really appreciate being able to connect to readers internationally through this platform.

The things that really impacted me from the first book was Anastasia’s relationship to nature and her power as well as her humanity. I was laughing because a few years ago I spent six rather unhappy months working at Verizon and my boss in a light hearted manner made fun of me when he found out I ate grass. The part in the book where the author is shocked at her picking grass and leaves and eating them made me chuckle. I remember thinking while working there I need to be outside, not in this box full of bright neon lights and electronics. I soon after went to go work for a plant nursery and started a deeply healing journey of my soul and body.

I read the first book and felt a deep sigh of my soul. It was like permission to live in a way that I knew was possible but didn’t have words for nor any examples of.

This second book I’m so touched by. I love the story of the cherry tree. I speak to my plants often and at times feel like I get messages from them.

I just finished the chapter about the sword of the Bard and feel an ache for something beyond words. The image of the mother singing to her baby amidst the chaos until the final moments when she herself picked up the sword to protect her daughter is deeply moving for me.

    Alyssa, you aren’t alone!

I remember reading the bit about the cherry tree… how it was the runt, so to speak, but since Vladimir saw something in it, it strove even harder to produce those three little cherries to love him back…. It made me cry. 😅🥲

YES. Later in the series, Anastasia explains how there is two types of knowledge… I forget the proper terminology. First, there is the knowledge of the mind… “The Earth is flat, the Earth is round…” This information can be tampered with… But there is another kind of knowing. Knowing that exists in the body, the soul, and we call it intuition. Everything that Anastasia says is like a breath of relief for me. Like someone else out in existence finally spoke what I never knew how to say. I personally believe she is real… But even if she isn’t, this book has brought immense relief to me knowing that I’m not all alone in the world.

I’m thrilled for you to continue the series! It only gets better! Prepare to be blown wide open!

Thank you for sharing Carla. I agree about the different kinds of knowledge. The first kind seems to be more data and information based and thus can be changed as new information is introduced. It almost feels like the second kind of knowledge, intuitive body based wisdom is unchangable and cannot be tampered with.

I’m definitely already being blown wide open. I’m so excited to read on!

I think the reference to her eating “grass” could well be a mistranslation (the words for grass and herbs are identical in many non-English languages, including Russian), or even a misperception on behalf of Vladimir – I think he didn’t know the different plants and so it was all “green stuff” or “grass” to him.

It could be actual grass too, but I don’t imagine she’d eat a lot of that somehow…

I could totally see it being that the author wasn’t familiar with the native plants. I’m sure every leaf, seed and berry she took was very purposeful. I do think that certain grasses have some medicinal benefits though I only usually chew on one or two blades of grass at a time.
