About Me:
Halcyon Community is a dream being made manifest. Many of us have held the dream of living in harmony with Nature and with each other, of finding the sacred in homesteading tasks, of celebrating together as tribe. Because we are facing impending Cataclysm (our planet's weakening magnetic field will eventually be penetrated by a solar flare, which will bring down the global electrical grid. Predictions say this will likely happen within the next several years), we recognize that now is the time to come together in community.
We consider that the ideal of the kins domain - of 1 hectare/family - is not adequate for self-sufficiency in the desert terrain of the Sierra Madre Mountains of northern Mexico. Under such challenging conditions, we think a more collective approach to land management is more appropriate to this environment. So we will have communal structures and communal gardens. However, each home and surrounding yard will be the domain of the person/family living there. We take the values of natural living and the need for close collaboration to make a kind of hybrid between the Anastasia and eco-village models. ___________________
BECCA:
With her decades of experience as local activist, environmentalist, multi-cultural mediator for conflict resolution, and counselor, she brings her interpersonal skill sets into the fray of co-creating community cohesion and viability. Becca also hosts Ecstatic Dance, so that - like any true tribe - we dance together. ___________________
LUCAS:
A lifetime champion of truth, health, freedom, and a protector of Life. Possessing above average intelligence and rare determination. Lucas is a primitive skills enthusiast, EMF mitigation consultant, farmer, permaculture designer and practitioner of regenerative agriculture.
