I have been creating my kin’s domain since 2011. I have 129 acres in the pristine woods of north western Maine. It is Sep Holtzer style farming in the woods in mountainous area. I have 2 teenage daughters and one of them still lives with me. Her name is Avalon. We have a small underground house and a chalet we built with my fathers help. I grow herbs for a living. It took 4 years of searching to find our domain. I owner financed the land. We have very pure water here and lots of quartz. Lots of streams and a natural pond and a pond we dug.

I grew up in the woods of Maine on a off grid homestead with big gardens and fruit trees. Because of my upbringing I now enjoy cooking and baking with my kitchen queen wood stove and we have gravity fed rain water and humanure toilets. When I was a child we had no power but I have a small amount of solar power.

I tried to start a kin domain eco village in 2008. There was a large group of us but the logistics and financial part proved challenging. Working with building codes and state laws are difficult.

I am grateful for this group and am hopeful to find kinship
