  1. ~My 4th child came to me on the night she was conceived~she spoke and told me how she wanted to be birthed~at home~at the time I was a Childbirth Educator with Informed Homebirth so I was prepared in the knowledge~I had a friend who was a midwife who said she would help~
    During my pregnancy I was very in tune with my growing child~one day laidonthe ground under tall pine trees with an amethyst crystal at the crown of my head, I journeyed into my womb and rocked with my baby~it was very peaceful and the connection so strong~
    My first daughter I had a spinal and it was awful and the headache after was not good~I did not have her right away which left me with a feeling of sadness~that when she was brought to me~I kept her near me~
    My second birth was natural~Elijah had trauma as his heartbeat dropped and a fetal monitor was placed up in me and it pierced his scalp~he was born with a bleeding head~Dr sayinghe caught bones coming down which I knew was a lie~this birth I was determined to become a childbirth educator to help other women not to experience this~
    My third birth~I wanted a homebirth~I was in a car accident and Rachael’s heartbeat was hard to find afterwards so I decided to birth in hospital because I knew if something was wrong the homebirth would be blamed~
    Giving birth at home was peaceful and calm~my children were a part of the labor~I was still nursing Rachael so she was able to be near me~truly a magical time for my family~
    My 5th birth was going to be at home in a tipi which my friends put up in my backyard~I had my Blessingway in that tipi and it will always be remembered as it was amazing~
    As my pregnancy went on things began to break down~Nawontah was overdue~fluids were drying up~I dreamt 3 times of him being near me as the Dr’s were stitching me up~he was smiling at me this beautiful ~Nawontah was born by c-section~which I had to embrace as his journey to his earthwalk~I am happy and at peace with all my births because I have these wonderful children who have blessed me with grandchildren~
    I breastfed all my children~the last 3 nursed the longest! Racheal till she was 3 years old~I nursed her while pregnant with Deirdre~and after Deirdre’s birth I nursed both~then Deirdre nursed until she was 4~I did not nurse her while pregnant with Nawontah~he nursed until he was 5 years old~
