The Politcal Future of Kin's Domains and the Ringing Cedars Movement

Post by GabrielMiguel »

Dear friends,

This is such an important topic that I felt it was necessary to dedicate an entire forum to it.

Land rights, the Family Party, and legislation for the allotment of a hectare of land for every family (plus laws supporting the creation of settlements) are fundamental topics for the future of our countries and the world.

This forum is a place to discuss those things.

Let us draft legislation. Let's formulate propositions that we can use for local and state (or provincial) governments.

Let's discuss the legalities surrounding land usage, land rights, and land ownership. (Read: land patents, allodial titles, and the Republic if you're US based)

And finally, why don't we start the Family Party in the USA and Canada, here? If not us, then who? Here, we have a central place to discuss these things.

Many blessings,
Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,
I love your ideas! It is so important, especially in times like these, to become politically involved where one can. Everyone who is inspired to convert a piece of land into their Kin’s Domain should be entitled to land. Land is a basic right, just like food, water, and safety. These are things no one should have to go without.

I'm curious if anyone on this forum has ever been involved in drafting legislation and getting it on the state or national congressional agenda for a vote? In Colorado we tried to do that once. Even with the full support of our then state governor and a representative, we ran into hurdles bigger than we could manage at the time. We did draft our legislation proposal and gave it to two representatives to review. They loved it and gave us the next steps. First was to raise about $500,000 just to get the ball rolling. Several thousand signatures were needed which we felt was doable, but the costs of educating the public and countering the opposition was going to be around a million dollars at best, IF we didn't encounter much opposition. The second big hurdle was that NO proposed legislation ever goes through the congressional gauntlet without multiple revisions and compromises. We reviewed the revisions and compromises of two groups trying to do something similar to our plan, one in New Mexico (somewhat successful) and one in Oklahoma (completely unsuccessful). Each of those groups spent over a million dollars (In the 1990's) for their partial gain or complete loss. The costs for pushing through national legislation are astronomical and the path is peppered with traps and pits controlled by big money lobbyists as well as the agendas of powerful competing government agencies. There's a third big hurdle: government at the higher levels of the controllers has its own plans and momentum, and they definitely do not include giving people land. Even when people buy their landed property, they aren't actually landowners. Keeping land out of the control of the people is fundamental to this government's existence. That's a different discussion but is actually the biggest hurdle of all that would need resolved in order to get this legislation through state or national Congresses.

I'm not saying this is not a good idea, or don't do this, or that it's not going to succeed. I'm saying its necessary to discover the realities of this and consider if it's something that will truly fit into your life as a true benefit. It's not a part time effort. The group in New Mexico that achieved a reduced version of success in getting the law changed took several years and a full time staff of paid and volunteer people plus a LOT of money. First step in getting this done might be to identify some high powered man or woman capable of quickly raising some millions and making this his or her all consuming life work for a few years. Anybody out there seriously ready and qualified to take on the task? I hope so.

Hi Joyce-M, thanks for sharing your findings. One of the shocking things I remember from reading the books was realizing just how ill-equipped a "free" country like the USA is to create Kin's Domains. Whereas Russia was in the perfect position to start giving land back to the people. We'll definitely face hurdles created by our country's structure...so we might be behind other countries in getting the legalities together, but I trust we can eventually get there.

One thing I have been learning about is Church structures and I'm wondering if that could be a route for USA? Our right to own and cultivate a hectare of our Motherland is basically a spiritual tenant that holds Ringing Cedar communities together, could this be used as a religious platform in the US? I know a community in Colorado who purchased land with an angel investor and they are set up as a Church where their religion is simply Love. The Catholic Church is the greatest landholder in the entire world and they hold all of that land, in a multitude of countries tax free. In Bill Mollion's Permaculture lectures and in the Permaculture Designer's Manuel he talks about acquiring land using the same legal structures as a church. He outlines a clever combination of a for-profit/non-profit entity. It may not quite be a Kin's Domain set up with free land, but it works in many countries and could be a good start for those of us who want to start Kin's Domains before all the politics can catch up.

As far as connections go...I am from the Hamptons where a lot of wealthy, powerful people come to live in nature. There is a strong spiritual community out there too, and a cross section of some who could be interested in helping our cause... I will keep sharing Anastasia's messages in these communities and see what happens!

Aloha, Lauren

Greetings Lauren,

If you look closely at the organizational and tax laws related to establishing a church umbrella to shield kins domain communities, you run into three critical things.
1) They are subject to government oversight. Many pastors are speaking out about the government controls over what they can and can't do or say or build, or plan.
2) IRS has tightened the noose on these organizations. It is not completely impossible but nearly so, to form a new organization that "qualifies" under their rules. It is risky at best because each new organization is tested in court (biased in favor of IRS).
3) Any structure "authorized" by government is by its very nature under the administration of government agencies in nearly all applications.

I think it's best to discover how we can exercise our natural rights without government's empowerment. Meg's post on farmland exemptions is a good example of that although I haven't examined those links because I couldn't get them to work with my phone. However, the government actually writes their codes and statutes correctly, meaning that they accurately state the extent of their authority. However, it's also true that those codes are written in such a way that the average citizen would never find it or even understand it if they did. We have to bring our thinking back up to speed as best we can. We also have to do as Anastasia does. In book 8.1, page 47 of the black cover edition she says, "Once my dream and life goal are created in all their detail, all the knowledge I need to turn the dream into reality will be born in me all on its own without fail."
